Product Overview
What THL produces is a switching platform for transactional processing, configured and modified for different applications.
Our core is based on Microsoft’s SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2003, whilst we develop our applications in Visual Basic 6. We enjoy the
stability of this programming language and have not yet felt the need to move to a .Net environment.
Our development is modular and allows the quick configuration of the core modules for almost any payment or transactional application requirement.
The product suite is marketed as Transsmart .Switch and we have several products within that suite:
- Transsmart .Card - is a card issuing module that includes the creation and management of accounts, the
registering and management of BIN ranges, the management of the card holder’s access to the accounts, and therefore it also incorporates interfaces to virtual administration terminals, EFT terminals
where needed, and ATM devices.
- Transsmart .Commerce - is a transaction processing platform aimed at the e-commerce and EFT market,
with multi-currency capability and multi-sponsor integration modules. The .Commerce product caters for hosted payment pages, virtual terminals, EFT terminals, kiosks, and host-to-host integrations. The
product can switch any public card type, like VISA, MasterCard, Amex and others, whilst also integrating to the .Card product to switch private label cards when needed.
- Transsmart .Prepaid - is a product that caters for the pepaid market and can manage, distribute and sell
PIN and PINless products through its channels. .Prepaid can be used as a comprehensive prepaid system platform that automatically handles the registration of product suppliers, distributors, resellers
and outlets, whilst catering for a preloaded account for customers through which purchases of virtual products can be made from any of the registered suppliers/distributors/resellers. The platform can
further be used in the more traditional Prepaid PIN based markets, as well as a virtual product interchange.
- Transsmart .Payment - is a payment platform for utility bill payments, or 3rd party payments, in both the
electronic bill payment (eBP) or the electronic bill presentment and payment format (eBPP).
- Transsmart .Remittance - is a platform that is designed to facilitate the processing of remittances, both
in a PIN based and card based solution format.
- Transsmart .Wallet - is our e-wallet solution, card based, that allows for the loading of funds into
electronic format, so as to make cleared funds available on the Internet and through a card to use for purchasing of goods, services and virtual product.
