With a large webshop and distribution abroad (mainly in the Benelux, but also to other countries) it is very important that the logistics are well organized and all processes run smoothly. Last year, Backshop started working with Transsmart to better streamline these processes: with results!

An extensive product range

For 25 years Backshop has been selling products that enable the computer user to work comfortably and ergonomically. Mandy Kornet, responsible for Sales & Marketing at Backshop, explains: “We see it as our mission to fight and prevent computer-related complaints. Everyone deserves a healthy workplace, and we are happy to advise on this. This increases productivity and happiness at work.” Backshop delivers both B2B and B2C. Mandy: “From our showroom we mainly give personal advice, always tailor-made. Sales arise from the showroom, but also from our webshop. So we deliver from our own location and our own warehouse and process orders daily.” The Benelux is the largest working area for Backshop, but they also deliver to Scandinavia, England, Germany, Austria, Greece, the United States, New Zealand and Australia. "For this reason, it is very important that the logistics processes run smoothly," Mandy says.

Looking for efficiency

Last year Backshop decided to start the collaboration with Transsmart. Mandy: “Previously, our logistics processes were far too cumbersome: we had to carry out too many actions to ultimately be able to deliver. We heard about Transsmart through the consultant who implemented Exact Online. As far as we are concerned, a good match with our company!” Transsmart has provided the integration with Exact, the system which already ran at Backshop. "A huge profit," said Mandy. “This ensures that the entire process - from receiving an order to processing the packing slip and shipping label - is automated. This saves us a lot of time, but also prevents us from making small mistakes in the process. As a result, we can also provide feedback to our customers faster or, for example, to sales channel Bol.com: the Track & Trace information is immediately available and is automatically created and updated. So everything is much more streamlined. ”

Smooth transition

On July 1, 2019, Backshop switched to the Transsmart connection. Mandy: “Obviously, it took some time for us all to get used to the new software: we had been used to the old way for years! Fortunately it all went very fast and everything went smoothly. During the implementation, the support of Transsmart was easily accessible, which was very nice. There was good guidance, which meant that everything was up & running very quickly. ” At the moment the software is still being developed and updated, so Backshop always runs on the latest versions.

Collaboration with Transsmart

"The collaboration with Transsmart has brought us a lot," says Mandy. “Examples of this are a lot of time savings and especially structuring of the processes. We can now work very pragmatically and switch very quickly. That is great for both us and our customers. By implementing smarter software, far fewer hands are needed, leaving a lot of time for other things. A great opportunity to grow and keep growing as Backshop!”
